David Arcauz, CFA

Managing Partner, co-CIO

Based in Geneva, he leads European investments, and is a member of the Global Advisory Investment Committee and the European and Asian Investment Committees.

Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in September 2016, David worked six years as a Partner for Adams Street Partners in London, where he made investments in growth and buyout funds in Europe and served on several advisory boards. He was also involved in serving existing and new clients, especially in German speaking countries. Before that, David spent five years at UBS Global Wealth Management within the private equity team in Zurich, London and New York. He previously worked five years at Swiss Life Private Equity Partners in Zürich and was a founding member of its spin-off Alpha Associates. David began his career as a credit analyst at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise in Lausanne and then worked as a corporate finance consultant for KPMG in Zürich.

David holds a Master of Law from Université de Lausanne and is a CFA Charterholder.

He sits on the Advisory Board of several European private equity funds.

Eric Deram

Managing Partner, CEO

Based in Geneva, he leads the overall strategic development of Flexstone Partners. He serves on the European Compliance, Risk and Internal ControlCommittee, the Global Advisory Investment Committee, the US, European and Asian Investment Committees and the Compensation Committee. He promotes and supports Flexstone sustainability conviction and approach.

Eric founded Euro Private Equity in 2005, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners. Previously, he was the Director of DB Capital Venture Partners, the European Venture Capital arm of Deutsche Bank in London and Dubai. Previously, Eric was an investment executive at CSFB Private Equity in London, where he worked primarily on pan-European Buyouts investment opportunities. Earlier, he worked in structured finance with BNP Paribas in Sao Paulo, Paris and New York, specializing in leveraged buyouts, infrastructure financing, mezzanine debt and investments in private equity funds.

Eric earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BS in finance from Neoma (France).

He currently sits on the advisory board of several private equity funds and is a past board member of several private and publicly traded companies as well as not-for-profit organizations.

Hans DeWitte

Managing Partner, Global COO & CFO

Based in New York, he serves as a Global Chief Operating Officer and Global Chief Financial Officer of Flexstone Partners. Hans works on the firm’s day-to-day operations, business development and new product offerings.

Prior joining Flexstone Partners in August 2021, he worked six years as a Managing Director for Prospect Ridge in New York, a spin out of AllianceBernstein LP, preceded by two years at JPMorganChase and eleven years at RREEF, a Division of Deutsche Asset Management. Hans began his career with KPMG in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Hans is a former certified Registered Accountant, holds a Graduate Degree in Accounting and BS from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).

Nitin Gupta

Managing Partner, co-CIO

Based in New York, he leads US investments, and is a member of the Global Advisory Investment Committee, and the US and Asian Investment Committees.

Nitin joined Caspian Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2008. Prior to Caspian, he was a Principal at Westbury Partners, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence and serving on the board of portfolio companies. Prior to Westbury Partners, Nitin was a Senior Associate at Saunders Karp & Megrue, where he was responsible for due diligence, with a particular focus on healthcare and retail investments. Prior to Saunders Karp & Megrue, he was an Associate at McCown De Leeuw & Company, where he was responsible for due diligence and a buy and build strategy across a number of industries including business services, industrial, and manufacturing. Prior to McCown DeLeeuw & Company, Nitin was an analyst in the M&A group at Merrill Lynch & Company where he completed a number of buy-side transactions for certain Fortune 500 companies.

Nitin earned his BS at New York University and MBA at Harvard Business School.

He serves as a Board member/observer for several portfolio companies of funds managed by Flexstone Partners.

Benoît Jacquin, CFA

Managing Partner, Head of Investor Relations

Based in New York, he is responsible for managing investor relations and fundraising activities.

Benoît is a founding Partner of Caspian Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners. Prior and concurrent to that, he served from 2000 to 2012 as a Director in charge of Investor Relations at Caspian Capital Management (“CCM”). Prior to joining CCM, Benoît was Vice President, Relationship Manager at CDC Investment Management Corporation. Prior to CDC Investment Management Corporation, he was a business analyst at Caisse des dépôts et consignations (Caisse des depots Group).

Benoît holds a post-graduate degree (DESS) in Econometrics and a post-graduate degree (DEA) in History from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and is a CFA Charterholder.

He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Benoit de Kerleau

Managing Partner, Global Head of Strategy, Business Development & Special Projects.

Based in Paris, he serves on the European Compliance, Risk and Internal Control Committee, the Global Advisory Investment Committee, and the European Investment Committee.

Before joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, he was the managing partner of Dahlia Partners, the European fund of funds and advisory arm of Natixis Private Equity in Paris. Previously, Benoit was an Investment Director at BNP Paribas Private Equity. Prior to BNP Paribas, he worked at PAI Partners for eight years, the leading leverage buyout firm in continental Europe, where he was involved initially in fund structuring and fundraising as well as portfolio monitoring and then participated in a number of leverage buyout transactions across Europe. Benoit started his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen, after serving as a Midshipman, Aide-de-Camp to the Admiral Inspector General of the French Navy.

Benoit graduated from HEC (Paris) with a Master in Finance.

He sits on the Advisory Board of several European private equity funds.

Rudy Chappe

Director, Investments

Based in Paris, he focuses on primary and direct investments in Europe and participates in secondary transactions as well.

Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in January 2016, Rudy was a Senior Consultant in Transaction Services for EY (formerly Ernst & Young), in the Financial Services division. He worked more specifically on financial due diligence acquisitions and valuation assignments for banks, insurance companies as well as asset managers. Previously, Rudy was an analyst for Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, in Structured Finance, then in private equity for Société Générale Capital Partenaires.

Rudy holds a Master from ESSEC Management School and Paris-Dauphine University, France.

He serves as an Advisory Board member for several European private equity funds.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2022, Arthur was a senior investment analyst at Access Capital Partners in Paris, where he focused on secondary transactions and primary commitments related to small and middle market European buyout and growth funds.

Arthur holds a Master’s in Finance from ESSEC Business School, Paris, and a Master’s from Neoma Business School, Rouen, France.

Based in New York, she is responsible for supporting the US investment team in all aspects of the investment process.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2022, Juliana held Analyst positions at Bank of America and Malbec Capital Partners. Prior to these positions, she was an intern at ExSight Ventures.

Juliana holds a BA in Financial Economics from Columbia University, New York, and a BA in Business Administration from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL), Parana, Brazil.

Anatoli Gavrilov

Based in New York, he focuses on US direct and fund investments and is involved in all aspects of the investment process.

Anatoli joined Caspian Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2013. Prior to joining Caspian, he has held various private equity analyst positions at Roc Resources, LLC, Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and The Burgiss Group from 2009 to 2013.

Anatoli holds a BS in Economics from University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria, and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.

He serves as a Board member/observer for several portfolio companies of funds managed by Flexstone Partners.

Sylvie Gillard-Cohen

Based in New York, she is responsible for supporting the US investment team in investment analytics post acquisitions, including monitoring, valuations, and reporting.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in March 2023, Sylvie worked as a Consultant for MB Fund Administration in New York, starting in 2016. Prior, she held positions at tPlus at Technology, Caspian Capital Management and CDC Investment Management Corporation, New York.

Sylvie holds a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2024, Gaétan did several internships at Ardian, Luxempart, Flexstone Partners, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, in France and in Luxembourg.

Gaétan holds a Master in Management and a MSc in Corporate Finance and Banking from EDHEC Business School, Nice, and a double degree in Economics and Mathematics, and Computer Sciences Applied to Human and Social Sciences from Toulouse School of Economics, France.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2024, Thomas was an investment analyst at Five Arrows in Paris, where he worked on secondary transactions, with a focus on Pan European markets.

Thomas holds MSc in Management degrees from EMLyon Business School, Lyon, Ludwig Maximilian university of Munich and Lancaster University, and a Bachelor in Economics and Finances from University of Cergy Pontoise, France.

Lay Hong Lee

Based in Singapore, she is responsible for the investment execution and the portfolio management of the Asia team’s investments, including fund valuation and reporting matters. She is a member of the Asian Investment Committee. She also participates in fundraising activities and contributes to the development and marketing of the firm’s global offering.

Lay Hong was a founding member of Eagle Asia Partners, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners. Previously, she was a Senior Vice President and a member of the Investment Approval Committee at TIF Ventures where she headed up the Portfolio Management and the US (East Coast) and Healthcare investments teams. In addition, she served on a few investor advisory boards of funds invested by TIF Ventures. Prior to TIF Ventures, Lay Hong held senior management positions at the Singapore National Science and Technology Board and the Information Technology Institute.

Lay Hong holds a Bachelor of Science from National University of Singapore.

David Marcus

Managing Director, Investments

Based in New York, he focuses on US direct investment and fund investment and is involved in all aspects of the investment process. He is a member of the US Investment Committee.

David joined Caspian Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2011. Prior to Caspian, he was a Senior Associate at Continental Entertainment Capital, where he focused on sourcing investments and advising on capital raising in the media industry. Prior to Continental Entertainment Capital, David was a Director at Drum Capital Management, where he focused on distressed debt and turnaround opportunities, both domestic and in emerging markets. Prior to Drum Capital Management, he was an Associate at Bassini Playfair & Associates, LLC, where he focused on private equity and credit opportunities in Latin America.

David holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA Economics from Franklin & Marshall College.

He serves as a board observer for several portfolio companies of funds managed by Flexstone Partners.

Based in Paris, she is responsible for supporting the European investment team in all aspects of the investment process. She is also a Sustainability Champion within Flexstone Partners, contributing to the firm’s definition and implementation of the sustainability framework.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2020, Candice was an Investment Analyst at Access Capital Partners in Paris, where she focused on primary and secondary investments in lower, middle markets funds in Europe.

Candice holds a MS in Management majoring in Corporate Finance from IESEG School of Management, Lille, France.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners early 2022 as an Intern, Nathan was an intern in various Swiss asset management firms.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners, in 2019, she was a private equity analyst for Unigestion, where she conducted data analysis and cash flow forecasting. Previously, she was a structured products advisory team member, then a risk analyst at Edmond de Rothchild.  Prior to that, Aylin was a quantitative analyst at Koris International.

Aylin holds a MSc in Financial Markets and Master of Management from EDHEC Business School.

Clément Riviere

Based in New York, he focuses on US direct and fund investments and is involved in all aspects of the investment process.

Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2014, Clément was an analyst for Croissance Partenaires, a Paris based M&A boutique, focusing on small and mid-cap transactions. Previously, he was a financial controller for Ardian, within the co-investment funds’ finance team.

Clément holds a Master of Corporate Finance from Reims Management School, as well as a Master of Business Law from Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV University.

He serves as an Advisory Board member for several European private equity funds.

Kit Jong Tan

Managing Director, Investments

Based in Singapore, he leads Asian investments, and is a member of the Asia Investment Committee.

Kit Jong was a founding member of Eagle Asia Partners, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, where he was responsible for the investment strategy including deal sourcing, due diligence and investment execution. Previously, he worked at TIF Ventures as its Chief Operating Officer and Head of Asia and Europe Investments. He also served as the Chairman of the Deal Clearance Committee and sat on the advisory boards of several private equity funds.  Prior to TIF Ventures, Kit Jong held senior management positions at the Singapore National Science & Technology Board and Hewlett Packard Singapore.

Kit Jong holds both a Bachelor and Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and attended the Stanford-NUS Executive Program.

Kristof Van Overloop, CFA

Based in Paris, he is a member of the European Investment Committee and leads secondary transactions globally where he is involved in all aspects of the sourcing, execution and closing processes.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2020, Kristof was a principal in the Secondaries team at Adams Street Partners in London. Kristof started his career as an M&A Analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in London in 2009.

Kristof holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and a Master’s degree in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School. Kristof is also a CFA Charterholder.

Naim Weydert

Senior Vice President, Investments

Based in Geneva, he is responsible for supporting the European investment team in all aspects of the investment process.

Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2016, Naim was a portfolio manager for BPI France Investment, in charge of managing the cash flows and the valuation process and setting up investors’ reports. Previously he was an analyst in private equity for CNP Assurances.

Naim holds a Master 2 in Economy and Financial Engineering from Paris-Dauphine University, France.

Samira Boussem, CFA

Managing Director, Head of Sustainability

Based in Paris, she leads the Sustainability team. She chairs the Sustainability Committee and is a non-voting member of the US, European and Asian Investment Committees. She is responsible for Flexstone Partners’ sustainability strategy and responsible investment approach, implemented across the firm’s various bespoke investment solutions offered to clients, to address key environmental, social, and governance issues across private markets. Notably, she focuses on developing Flexstone Partners’ in-house sustainability investing framework, stewardship strategy, and product offering.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2024, Samira was Head of ESG Solutions at Natixis Investment Managers Solutions in Paris since 2019. Previously, she occupied several positions in risk management, portfolio research and portfolio management at Natixis, Natixis Asset Management and Natixis Investment Managers between 2005 and 2019. She started her career at Credit Industriel et Commercial in Paris, France.

Samira holds a DEA in Probabilities and its application, with a major in Finance (“DEA El Karoui”), from University of Paris VI, France. She is a CFA Charterholder.

Based in Paris, she is responsible for the development and implementation of Flexstone’s global corporate sustainability strategy and responsible investment approach with the Head of Sustainability.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2022, Annabel was an ESG Solutions Intern at Natixis Investment Managers Solutions in Paris.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2020, Nicolas worked at Natixis Investment Managers, supporting the marketing and sales team based in the Netherlands. Prior to that, Nicolas had internships with Société Générale and Crédit Mutuel Arkéa.

Nicolas holds a BA in Business from Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland, a MBA in Finance and a MS in International Finance & Markets Analysis from ESC Rennes School of Business, Rennes, France.

Based in New York, she is responsible for fundraising activities, and contributes to the development and marketing of the firm’s global offering.

Joanna joined Flexstone Partners in 2019.  Prior to joining Flexstone Partners, she was an Associate Director at The Abraaj Group in New York and Singapore, where she focused on private capital raising strategies in the US and in Asia. Prior to that, Joanna held an Investor Relations position at The Northstar Group, in Singapore, focusing on fundraising and investor relations. Earlier, Joanna worked in various investment consulting roles at Cambridge Associates, in Boston and Singapore. Joanna began her career at Harvard Management Company.

Joanna holds a BA in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA.

Prior to joining the Investor Relations team, he was responsible for supporting accounting and reporting functions of private equity funds and mandates. Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2017, Mathieu worked at BNP Paribas, GIE GES, and Koncar Dist in Zagreb.

Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2016, Alexandre worked for QBE Insurance as an accountant in charge of technical accounting, treasury management, participation in monthly closings, quarterly reporting and audit records. Previously, he worked as an accountant for the Alpha group.

Alexandre holds a Bachelor in Economics / Management and a Master in Control, Accounting and Auditing from the University of Paris XI.

François Desprez de Fresnoye

Managing Director, Operations & Finance, Legal and Corporate

Based in Paris, he serves as a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Flexstone Partners in Europe, and is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s day-to-day European operations.

Prior joining Flexstone Partners in May 2023, he was responsible for the legal affairs, compliance, internal control and corporate matters at EMZ Partners, a management company specializing in management sponsored private equity buy-outs. Prior to EMZ Partners, he spent eleven years at Access Capital Partners, as a Director then a Partner, responsible for legal and tax affairs in connection with funds and investment operations from fund structuring to investment execution. Yaniss Hammouda

Vice President, Operations & Finance

Based in Paris, he is responsible for supporting accounting and reporting functions of private equity funds and mandates.

Prior to joining Flexstone Partners in 2024, Yaniss worked for BNP Paribas as a Fund Financial Controller Private Capital in charge of private debt and private equity funds totaling €3.6 bn of AUM, controlling and evaluating investments, coordinating management companies, fund accountants and transfer agents, monitoring cashflows, and issuing quarterly reports. Previously, he worked as a Middle Office Private Equity Manager for Caceis, and as an Assistant Accountant for Mazars.

Yaniss holds a Bachelor Sup’Est in Business Administration from ICN Nancy, and a Masters I and II in Corporate Finance from ESG Finance PSB Group, Paris.

Prior joining Flexstone Partners in March 2023, he worked as a Vice President for MB Fund Administration in New York, starting in 2016. Prior, he worked at Bessemer Venture Partners in Larchmont, NY, at Anchin Block & Anchin and at McGladery & Pullen in New York. He started his career at Ernst & Young in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Kudzai holds a MBA in Finance and Risk Management from Saint Peter’s University, Jersey City, NJ, a post-graduate degree in accounting from University of South Africa (UNISA), Pretoria, South Africa, and a Bachelor in Accounting from University of Namibia, Windhoek, Namibia. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for financial reporting of the Asian operations. She is also a Sustainability Champion within Flexstone Partners, contributing to the firm’s definition and implementation of the sustainability framework.

Ivy was a founding member of Eagle Asia Partners, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, where she was an Executive Director, overseeing and working with the administrator for accounting, operations, compliance, legal and tax regulations. Previously, she served as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Services at TIF Ventures where she led the Finance team.  Prior to TIF Ventures, Ivy Omar worked at the National Science and Technology Board.

Ivy holds a Masters in Finance from the University of Leicester and a Bachelors in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore.

She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore, Fellow Membership of CPA Australia and Professional Member of the International Compliance Association.

Charlotte gained experience in private equity, first as a Consolidation Accountant at Natixis Private Equity and after 2008 as the Head of Back/Middle Office at Dahlia Partners, a predecessor to Euro Private Equity and Flexstone Partners.

Based in New York, she is responsible for providing legal support to the US investment team.

Virginie joined Caspian Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2005. Directly before joining Caspian, she was Project Manager and Legal Manager at Caspian Capital Management from 2003. From 1995 to 2000, Virginie was an attorney tax manager at EY Law in Paris, France, where she advised multinationals on tax and corporate matters.

Virginie holds an LL.M. in Taxation and an Advanced Business Certificate in Law and Business from New York University School of Law and New York University Stern School of Business, a post-graduate degree in Business, Banking & Finance Law from University of Paris II, Paris, France and a post-graduate degree in International Tax Law from University of Paris XI-HEC, Paris, France.

Pierre-Emmanuel Boivin

Based in Paris, he is responsible for establishing and implementing compliance standards and procedures, ensuring that European compliance programs effectively identify, prevent, detecting and address regulatory and internal compliance issues, while also overseeing the risk management framework. Additionally, as Flexstone’s Sustainability Champion, Pierre-Emmanuel oversees the firm’s adherence to sustainable finance regulations, driving the responsible investment strategy and performing periodic ESG risk management controls. He is a non-voting member of the Global and European Investment Committees.

Before joining Flexstone in 2024, Pierre-Emmanuel played a key role in establishing Loomis Sayles Capital Re (AIFM) as Chief Compliance Officer (registered with the AMF). Prior to that, he served as Head of Compliance and MLRO at Candriam Belgium (registered with the FSMA) and later as Head of Conduct and Compliance Advisory for Candriam globally. His earlier roles include Chief Compliance Officer at ABN AMRO Investment Solutions (registered with the AMF) and various compliance positions at La Banque Postale Asset Management and La Française Asset Management. He began his career at SGAM Alternative Investments in France and the UK, where he was registered with the FCA.

Pierre-Emmanuel holds a Master’s degree from Audencia Nantes School of Management, along with the AMF Professional Certification and AMF Sustainable Finance Certification.

Prior to Brevan Howard, he spent 7 years as a Compliance Officer for Stone Harbor Investment Partners LP, a fixed Income Investment Adviser primarily focused on Emerging Market Debt and Global High Yield.

Prior to that role, she was responsible for supporting accounting and reporting functions of private equity funds. Prior to joining Euro Private Equity, a predecessor to Flexstone Partners, in 2015, Sacia was an accounting assistant at the Maupard Trustee accounting firm, as such, she managed the day-to-day operations and the cash, payment and tax transactions accounting. She worked also on operations for clients’ portfolios.

Based in Paris, she is responsible for providing administrative support to Senior Management and managing the firm’s daily office and organizational needs.

Prior joining Flexstone Partners in October 2022, she worked seven years at JPMorgan Chase Bank in New York as a Vice President, Corporate and Investment Bank, successively in Private Equity Real Estate Services, then as Business Control Manager and more recently as Alternatives Global Business Control Manager. Based in Geneva, she is responsible for providing administrative support to Senior Management and managing the firm’s organizational needs. In addition, she is responsible for implementing procedures and providing everyday action towards ensuring that the Swiss compliance programs are effective in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with regulations, internal compliance guidelines and applicable compliance standards.

Sophie joined Flexstone Partners in 2019. Prior to that, she was Fund Specialist at Bank Lombard Odier & Co Ltd, Geneva, providing clients with a wide range of services in regard to funds trading.
